What makes your REA better than the other similar programs? I have seen several that seem much more advanced with video and sound, etc.

I know what you mean. I have seen them too and I admit that they are neat. They do lack somethign important.......content. The fact is, every single one of them trades useful organized content for window dressing. I saw one that only has one single calculator! At $3.00 PER DISK you would think you could give your customers more than one calculator! They also do not have printable calculators, and a variety of other unique attributes that make REA the best available.
Not only do they lack content, they lack personalization. In order to get their stuff to look so neat, they have to make their programs identical. Their "One Size Fits All" approach reduces the content that is usable. For example, an LO using REA with realtors can have the entire FSBO section removed and replaced with a custom section such as "Why Use a Realtor?". A person utilizing an FSBO program rather than realtors cannot use a "Why Use a Realtor?" section at all! What you end up with their approach is software with neither a FSBO secion NOR a Realtor section! REA allows you to customize just about anything - right down to every specific word on every page of the software. No one, and I mean NO ONE else does this.
Finally, if those reasons weren't enough, there is cost. At $89.95, REA is less than the price of two "exclusive" leads that we ALL KNOW aren't really exclusive. Once you buy it, reproduction is about 50 cents per disk since you are licensed to make unlimited copies. This makes the price of 200 disks, $189.95. The next lowest price on similar UN-PERSONALIZED, REDUCED CONTENT software is $3.00 per CD. 200 disks become $600! Some go as high as $5.00 per CD, so imagine making 500 of them! REA would be $339.95 for 500 disks while at $3.00 each the cost would be $1500 and at $5.00 each it becomes $2500!
As if all that wasn't enough, REA was hand designed and used by me as a mortgage broker two years ago. I was a web designer back when the tech market went bust and was dragged into mortgages by a family member. I hated calling customers and made this software to get people calling me. I did well enough, but my heart just wasn't in it. I am a computer geek at heart. :-) Still, I sold loans with REA until a few people I knew wanted to buy the software. Then they told a few people, and a few more were told, and so on. I have yet to spend a single dollar on advertising! I finally quit originating when my time was too consumed with making software to do it anymore. Now I am doing something I love while helping others do something I know. How many other of those software designers can say that about their own software? For that matter, how many have even actually used their own software?
I can tell you because I called every one of them and asked. NONE! Not a single one of them has ever sold a loan in their life. They are software designers looking for a market, not originators, and that is the difference.
With all that, you would think I was out of reasons, but I do have one more. My software WORKS and THAT is the most important difference there is. Check out our feedback on ebay and on this message board!
