I have great news!
The known issue with the Windows XP service pack 2 has been solved! After a lot of work and some major modification of the software, I have been able to eliminate the security warning entirely!
Not only that, but now the icon shows up with the software title in the taskbar and there is a more standardized feeling throughout the software.
Users of Mozilla Firefox do not have to worry because it is no longer going to be showing up in a Browser window.
Well, that's the good news. The bad news is that all this revision has caused me to have to resort to an upgrade option. There simply wasn;t an easy way about this and Microsoft has been very uncooperative regarding this issue. (imagine that)
The new version is going to be 2.1 and will incorporate this and a few additional changes. The "Security message" during install will be removed. The "start" page will be removed. The Installation will include a message that encourages users to give copies to friends and relatives.
There is also space for an additional page of information. What I will use that for I have no idea. :-)
Anyways, I have tested this and it works. It will take about a week to implement. All new orders will incorporate the changes and the cost is going to have to go up by about $10. Previous buyers can upgrade at their option for $10 by simply sending a paypal payment to sales@mortgagesalestools.com. I really wish I didn;t have to charge for this upgrade, but Microsoft has made it entirely impossible for locally run web pages to run without security warnings if they include javascript. To get around this I have to convert the entire design to a true application. My reasoning for doing the software as a "mini website" was to help defray costs, but Microsoft just doesn;t want you to be able to do anything inexpensively.
Look for the price in crease in the next few days as I get a chance to update the website with the information on the new version and the new demo. Those who order between now and then will get the new version at the old price. I just don;t have time to update it at the moment!
